Things to See and Do In Arden
Arden
offers visitors an assortment of activities that can occupy an
afternoon, a summer evening or a weekend.
Lansdowne
Park and Campground offers plenty of
safe, quiet room for
the kids to get out and stretch their legs while mom and dad enjoy some
rest
and relaxation in the lush natural surroundings.
Cleo’s Grocery
& Crafts Store, over the footbridge
and up the hill,
can provide a quick lunch or supplies for dinner in the campground.
Take a walk through the village and get a feel for the history of rural
Manitoba in the 1950’s.
Walk the Nature Trail along the Whitemud
River, through a
beautiful
natural woodland. Bring guidebooks for flora and fauna, and plan to
capture
lots of photos.
Consider camping in the quiet and
seclusion of
Lansdowne Park. Our campground is less than a 20-minute drive from
popular
events and festivals in Neepawa or Gladstone.
Golfers can enjoy the scenic
and challenging
18-hole course in Neepawa or the 9-hole course at Gladstone.
Bird watchers can experience some
of the best natural
bird watching
in Canada at Big Grass Marsh, northeast of Lansdowne, between Plumas
and
Langruth. Big Grass was the very first Ducks Unlimited (Canada)
conservation
project, and is considered one of the important bird areas of Canada.
Outdoorsmen enjoy
some of the best goose and duck hunting in Manitoba each fall in
Lansdowne and area.
