Arden and the R.M. of Lansdowne

A public vote on a covered skating rink at Arden is defeated. A by-law was passed to provide for a written history and a Municipal Park and to take advantage of Federal and Provincial grants for the celebrations of the Canada Centennial 1967. A public vote, held to establish a Senior Citizen Home at Neepawa for the municipalities of Langford, Lansdowne, Rosedale and The Town of Neepawa was in the affirmative.

Council acknowledged that 3,000 persons attended the Lansdowne Centennial Park celebrations of Canada's 100th Birthday. Keith Hoath was honored for his services as the chairman of the Centennial Celebrations.
