of Lansdowne
1965
A public vote on a covered skating rink at Arden is defeated. A by-law
was passed to provide for a written history and a Municipal Park and to
take advantage of Federal and Provincial grants for the celebrations of
the Canada Centennial 1967. A public vote, held to establish a Senior
Citizen Home at Neepawa for the municipalities of Langford, Lansdowne,
Rosedale and The Town of Neepawa was in the affirmative.
1967
Council acknowledged that 3,000 persons attended the Lansdowne
Centennial Park celebrations of Canada's 100th Birthday. Keith Hoath
was honored for his services as the chairman of the Centennial
Celebrations.
